Surf lessons in Pembrokeshire, we have been running surf lessons for all ages and abilities since 1999. A good surf lesson and positive experience is the best way to start surfing. With the guidance of our fully accredited ISA surf instructors on the best surfing beaches in Pembrokeshire Wales, including Freshwater West, Manorbier, Broad Haven and Newgale - you can look forward to great memories and a solid foundation in surfing. WE ARE WALES' TRUSTED SURF SCHOOL
We approach all our surf lessons with safety in mind. We are licensed by the AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Association)We are an accredited surf school, and all Outer Reef surf coaches are fully qualified ISA surf school instructors. Outer Reef Surf School is activity provider at Gupton Farm in partnership with The National Trust camp site.

WHY LEARN TO SURF IN PEMBROKESHIRE
We have been running surf lessons in Pembrokeshire, Wales for the past 20 years. We have been teaching beginners, school groups and running instructor surf courses throughout the UK and worldwide.
Surfing is a sport determined by weather conditions, so we will always take you to the beaches with the best waves for learning. We will have you up and riding your first waves in no time!
Our surf lessons run every day in Pembrokeshire (Wales) from April until November, with two sessions each day:
Morning SURF Lessons (10am - 12pm)
Afternoon SURF Lessons (2pm - 4pm)
Lesson times are subject to availability, season, and weather conditions.
All the equipment is provided, and we have a full range of new high-quality wetsuits and surfboards available
Our surf lessons cost £40 per person for a 2-hour beginner or intermediate surf lesson.

WHAT BEACHES DO WE RUN SURF LESSON ON?
Main Season - June to August
You will mostly find us at Freshwater West and Manorbier Beach. These beaches have the most consistent waves to learn to surf on in Wales.
Early & Late Season - April to May / September to November
You are more likely to find us all over Pembrokeshire as we pick the best waves during the larger swells and stronger winds that come around at this time of year. Freshwater West, Manorbier Beach, Tenby, Saundersfoot, Broad Haven South, Newgale, and more.
In all cases, the exact beach that your lesson will take place at will be decided upon the day before and will depend on the conditions forecasted for that day. We will pick the best and safest beach for learning and meet you at the beach 15 minutes prior to your surf lesson.

WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR SURF LESSON?
Swimsuit and/or board shorts.
Beach shoes/or flip flops.
Beach towel.
Sunscreen.
A bottle of water.
Warm clothes to change into.
Our instructors are all fully qualified ISA Surf and Stand-Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) coaches and SLSGB Beach Lifeguards who will run you through all the stages of learning how to surf in Pembrokeshire. Before your surf lesson, you will be met by your friendly Outer Reef surf instructor and get a chance to meet the rest of your surf group. They will introduce you to the equipment, how to surf it and how to catch a wave safely. Our instructors will ensure you learn to surf properly and have a great time at some of the most beautiful beaches in Pembrokeshire.
Q: Do I need any previous experience?
A: No experience is required; you just need to be able to swim 25 meters.
Q: Is this a beginner's lesson?
A: This lesson is aimed at anybody wanting to start surfing, or ideal as a refresher for anyone who has not been in the water for a while.
Q: Can I do a lesson in December or January?
A: No, our teaching season runs from April until November.

SURF EQUIPMENT HIRE IN PEMBROKESHIRE WALES
We run daily surf lessons from APRIL - December. Open to all surfing levels! Our surf courses are all run in SSSI sites area of outstanding natural beauty.
