Excellent tuition and fun. Our surfing lessons were great. All three managed to 'stand up'. I had a go at Paddle Boarding. I went out as. 50 year-old, it came back feeling 20 - fab and such a beautiful location. All instructors were so enthusiastic and helpful. 11 out of 10.

Surfing lessons. Very impressed. Grandchildren (10 and 8) had never surfed before and were both standing on their boards by the end of the 2 hour session. They absolutely loved it, despite the slightly chilly and showery weather, and would have been happy to stay in for another 2 hours. They have been talking about the lessons and surfing every since! Top equipment, including wetsuits, provided. The two instructors were great and very safety aware. Highly recommended

A laugh a minute. Despite being a cold & wet afternoon Lewis gave four teenagers a very memorable experience - all four of them laughed so much & thoroughly enjoyed every minute. As grandparents, watching, we too had a great time. Many thanks, Lewis

Great instruction. Good waves. Booked for the second time with Outer Reef for family surfing lessons. Enjoyed taking great instruction from Ben, Jenny and Jack. The whole family progressed and laughed their way through each lesson.

Stand up Paddle Boarding. Absolutely worth every penny. Amazing location, great guides/instructors. My daughter was able to stand up straight away, never fell in and wants to get a SUP board of her own. I fell in loads but thoroughly enjoyed myself. Fab experience and super holiday memory.

Fabulous. My husband, 2 children plus my niece and nephew (ages 11-45yrs) had 2 surf lessons each this week. Really friendly instructors, well organised, safety conscious and knowledgeable. Fabulous setting on Freshwater East. The dog and I enjoyed watching - we’ll join in next time.

Amazing. The teachers are great and are always trying to help you get better this is one of my favourite surf schools I’ve been to.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding SUP Outing. We were very pleased with the SUP trip and lesson to hone our SUP skills. The Wales coastline is beautiful and we were pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to paddle through a small cave and out the other side. The instructors were very professional and helpful.

Fantastic surf school. My daughter was part of a GOGA (Get Out Get Active) group of children / adults with learning disabilities who went to Outer Reef for a summer surf school. In all sessions, they had a fantastic time but I want to highlight the enthusiasm of Emma-Kate and the team who were always positive and supportive in the teaching they provided. If you want to surf, I would strongly suggest you seek out these guys

"Seal's are Us". My wife and I joined with another 6 SUP beginners meeting up at Stackpole Quay. The weather was fine and the sheltered small harbour made the initial lesson easier. We braved the sea swell, on our knees, until we had gained enough skill to stand up!. After falling in about 20 times within the same amount of minutes, Most of the group were SUPing!. We paddled around the coast and in the sheltered bay near Lorts cave a seal popped his head up and gave us all the once over. It was amazing being so close to such a great animal. We paddled round through the cave and made our way to the sandy beach of Barfundle Bay. We beached the boards and all had a relax in the surf, and in the sun. It was hard paddling back against the headwind, but we all eventually made it back safely. The instructors were great and explained each process. what a 2 hour session.

Good fun and so helpful. There were 9 of us in the group, including me, my husband and our 2 teenage boys. All the participants appeared to be at different levels, but this didn't phase or hamper our instructor, Emma-Mary. She was fully understanding of each of our individual needs and gave everyone the same amount of attention. It was a miserable day weather wise and the sea was quite choppy, but Emma-Mary explained how we can navigate that and I think I can say we all enjoyed ourselves immensely, and although we were all exhausted by the end, it was a happy exhaustion. If you are looking to learn to surf or just improve your technique I would highly recommend booking.

Definitely, recommend for Surf & SUP. Just returned from a week in Freshwater East and had lots of contact with Outer Reef during our stay. Had a surf lesson for full family (age range 8-52!), SUP tour for myself & 16yr old bought a wetsuit from the shop & hired 2 surfboards one day. Customer Service was excellent in all contact …and couldn't fault the instructors. Would highly recommend both Surf & SUP lesson.

Feedback for "Surfer Girl Weekend" - Great fun, professional and inspiring instructors, laid back atmosphere and most importantly - plenty of standing up action. Seb is a great teacher, very patient and lots of attention to detail. Thank you for the good vibes! Many thanks for an excellent weekend, I'm recommending it to all my girlfriends. A great opportunity and as soon as my girls are old enough, I'll be getting them in the water too.

Hi, Sorry I have not emailed earlier to say a big thank-you to all the people running the women's surf weekends. as you can tell i was on one of your women's surf courses in the summer and really enjoyed myself. I am now the proud owner of a beautiful 7'9" bic minimal and I feel more and more confident every time I go surfing. I try to go surfing as often as I can but it is difficult living in North Wiltshire and as you might know its not very close to any good surf beaches! :( Standing up is becoming more frequent and being dumped in the water is becoming less frequent! yay! Anyway just mainly wanted to say THANK-YOU for a great weekend and the encouragement to buy a board and feel as if I almost know what I am doing when in the water! Thank-you again.

Hi! Just thought I’d send you an email to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!! for the surfing weekend prize. I had an excellent time, and Emma-Mary and Dean at Outer Reef are great. They looked after us so well. We stayed in a lovely B and B near the beach with a great host, and on Saturday night we went out to a Regatta, and ended up with a midnite boat trip which was amazing! Emma is a great teacher - I learnt more with her in the first lesson than I did in my weekend in Polzeath! She taught us how to spot a set of waves, how to know whether there'll be good surf watching the weather on TV, all about isobars, and that kind of stuff really helps when you're out there. I stood up loads; it was so exhilarating I am now hooked for life! And the beach is great, no crowds so you can surf to your hearts content! We are planning on going back up to Outer Reef before the summer is out! So again, thank you so much, it was excellent. If you ever want me to try out other surfing destinations for you, just let me know! Sarah

We are writing to you to thank you for letting us have a great time at Broadhaven. We both really enjoyed surfing, and we wish we could do it again. We both stood up on our boards for a whole wave. We also enjoyed the game where we had to swim out to sea and our partners had to come and rescue us. We both think surfing was the best.

Thankyou very much for taking us surfing, we really enjoyed it. We have never been surfing before so it was a wonderful experience for us both.

Hi I'm Hannah Brooks i just want to say thank you and you're surf dude's for teaching me and my friend's how to surf,it was great fun as i learnt how to stand up.

I'd like to say thanks for teaching me surfing, you were a wicked teacher unfortunately I couldn't stand off because I kept slipping off I learnt a lot! I really like to do it again so you can help even more so I can stand up. Surfing was wicked next year are going to love it.

Thanks for giving us a great surfing lesson in Broadhaven.The wetsuites were really hard to get on! You must of got well bored waiting for us to get dressed! You have so many surfboards, we guess its quite handy having a shop right next to the beach. The lesson was really cool. We liked the game where you had to rescue your partner, it was a bit like baywatcth! As we said, thanks for the lesson. Even though we couldn't stand up (and when we did we fell off) it was a great lesson and we all enjoyed ourselves.
