LOCATION
Outer Reef is based on the Pembrokeshire coastline in Wales. The practical element of the instructor pathway can be completed through suitable coaching environments, with Outer Reef providing professional development and instructor training in Pembrokeshire.
Outer Reef Surf Centre was established in 1999 and provides surf, paddle boarding, rescue and multi-activity instructor development.
Isa Online Surf Instructor Courses Level 1
The ISA Level 1 Surf Instructor Qualification is the introductory instructor accreditation for teaching entry-level and beginner surfers through to early-intermediate level.
Minimum Age 16
Level 1 candidates must be at least 16. Instructors under 18 require appropriate supervision until they reach 18.
Beginner Coaching
Focused on coaching entry-level, beginner and early-intermediate surfers.
Theory + Practical
The online theory is one stage of the pathway and does not replace practical coaching development.
International Career Route
