Newgale is known for its long sweep of beach, open views and Atlantic character. When the conditions are suitable, it offers plenty of space for learning, practising and enjoying a classic West Wales beach day.
Surf conditions change with the swell, wind and tide. Outer Reef selects the most suitable lesson area and may occasionally use another Pembrokeshire beach when that provides a safer or better experience.

No. Beginner sessions are designed for first-time surfers and people who want to rebuild their confidence.
Is all equipment included?
Your surfboard and wetsuit are included. Bring swimwear, a towel and warm clothes for after the session.
Are lessons always held at Newgale?
No. Surf lessons are condition-led. The team may select another suitable Pembrokeshire beach based on swell, wind, tide, group ability and safety.
Is Newgale suitable for families?
It can be a great family surf location when conditions are manageable. Suitability is assessed for each session.
Where will we meet?
Your confirmed meeting point and any important travel information will be included with your booking details.
What happens if conditions are unsuitable?
The team will assess the forecast and may adjust the time, move the session to a better beach or contact you with alternative arrangements.
