The Session Gallery

THE SESSION GALLERY

Memories of international travel are starting to bubble again, and it’s got us reminiscing about boardshort sessions at our Surf Camps, from camels, to white sand beaches and frosty Bintang beers.  Here’s our gallery of our most memorable Outer Reef sessions to get your froth on.  We want to see your most memorable surf experiences, the good, the funny and even the ugly so just tag a picture past or present with #OUTERREEFFROTH and the best story will win a Nixon watch, and runners up will win a Nixon backpack, third place a T-shirt and fourth place wins some surf wax.

TO THE POINT

MOROCCO

A natural footers dream trip.  We’ve been lucky enough to spend many a winter here with our Taghazout Surf Camps and when Anchor point turns on, it’s on and this was one long heavy session we will never forget. This spot offers waves for all levels and there’s yoga and a pool to soothe those jelly legs alongside all the adventures that a trip to North Africa throws-in; camels, goats in trees, Hammans and as many Jillabas as you can carry home.

SECRET REEF PASS

SOMEWHERE IN INDONESIA

There’s probably nothing better in life than surfing an almost empty spot in Indonesia, then enjoying an ice cold beer (not you kids) and a stack of banana pancakes to fuel up for another session.  We were lucky enough to score this wave in flawless conditions with just a few of us in the water.

When we’re not seeking out new spots, we’re busy hosting our surf camp in the heart of hip Canggu, Bali which is just a short drive away from the surf spots Batu Bolong, Oldmans & Echo beach. The Camp’s Villa is a luxury boutique style, surrounded by palm trees and with a yoga roof that has amazing 180 degrees views, Jacuzzi & swimming pool and obviously a bar to keep the Bintang’s cool.

Kami akan segera menemuimu!!!

SRI LANKA SNAP!

Enjoying a surf with your best friends is epic, especially if they’re paddling back out when you’re getting barrelled.  I love this shot from one of the best sessions we had in Sri Lanka few years back, followed by an incredible curry and food all evening long at our Weligama Bay surf camp.  The beautiful camp is just a walk to the nearest surf spots, reef breaks: Jungle Beach & Turtle Bay and just 500 meters away from a huge sandy surf beginners and longboard beach break.  Within a 10 min drive from our Villa you are able to reach the most important surf spots like Rams, Lazy left – Mirissa point and more.

THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME

As far as we’ve been lucky enough to travel with Outer Reef course and camps, there really is no place like home. Especially when it’s totally unexpected, perfectly clean and everyone else is at work!

The school is perfectly located for a range of waves to suit all levels so....

FUERTEVENTURA

Fuerteventura in the Canaries is like our second home, the colours on the waves change constantly and this spot (nope, not telling) is one of our all-time favourites. We might not tell you about this particular wave but we can definitely share with you all the best places to stay, eat and see.

Te veremos pronto!
