Learning to Surf or SUP (Paddle board) in Pembrokeshire at your own pace with your own surf instructor is the best way to be introduced to these amazing water sports.

Our private group Surf and SUP lessons are affordable and focussed just on you, your friends or family – learn in the comfort of your own private group and get the most out of your groups personal instructor to maximise your experience.

Surfing and paddle boarding is a fun and exhilarating activity for you and your family to enjoy together. At Outer Reef we teach children from the age of 7 years and we ask that they are water confident and can swim 25 metres.

With over 25 years of experience, our instructors are experts in teaching surfers of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced surfers. Our School offers lessons at Manorbier and Freshwater West and we offers lessons for all ages, with a focus on safety and fun. We have a wide selection of new wetsuits, new surf boards, hard and inflatable paddle boards, so you can relax knowing we have the right equipment for you and your family.

You and your family will be taught to surf and or paddle board by our fully qualified instructors in a safe enjoyable environment and of course having as much fun doing so as possible.

At Outer Reef we teach children to surf and paddle board from the age of 7 years and we ask that everyone can swim 25 metres.

Outer Reef is the activity provider at Gupton Farm in partnership with The National Trust camp site and we approach all our surfing lessons with safety in mind. We are licensed by the AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Association), are an SSA accredited surf school, and all Outer Reef surf coaches are fully qualified ISA surf school instructors.
