Welcome to Outer Reef Surf Camp in the heart of Pembrokeshire — a social, flexible and supportive way to experience some of Wales’ best coastal activities.
Our camps combine expert surf coaching with the option to add coasteering, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. Sessions run across Freshwater West, Manorbier, Tenby, Newgale, Stackpole Quay and Saundersfoot depending on weather, tides, swell and group ability.

Frequently Asked Questions
SURF CAMP - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are wetsuits included in the price?
Yes. All of our lessons and packages include wetsuit hire.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
We ask participants to be able to swim at least 25 metres unaided for safety.
Can I bring my own surfboard?
Yes. You are welcome to use your own board, although beginner foam boards are often easier for learning.
Where are the surf lessons held?
Surf lessons commonly run at Freshwater West or Manorbier, depending on conditions.
Where are SUP sessions held?
SUP sessions may run from Stackpole Quay, Tenby North Beach or Saundersfoot Harbour.
How long does each activity last?
Most sessions last around 1.5 to 2 hours.
What should I bring?
Bring swimwear, a towel, warm clothes for afterwards, suitable footwear if required and any medication you may need.
When will I receive the itinerary?
Water activities depend on weather and swell. We normally send a rough schedule in the week before arrival and confirm any final details at the meet and greet.
What about food?
Most accommodation is self-catering. Packed lunches or meals can be purchased near activity venues, and some multi-day camps include a group dinner.
Can I come on my own?
Yes. Solo travellers are very welcome and surf camps are designed to be social and supportive.
