Women connecting through the Salty Sisters community
Travelling Independently?

Come on Your Own. You Won't Be Alone.

Many women would love to take a surf trip but do not have somebody available to travel with. Salty Sisters makes it easier to take that step independently.

Shared surf sessions, meals, yoga, cross-training and relaxed camp life create natural opportunities to get to know the other guests without forcing the group atmosphere.

There is also space to rest and enjoy time independently. Being part of the retreat does not mean every moment has to be organised.

  • Friendly for solo travellers
  • build your surfing community
  • Different ages welcome
  • Supportive group atmosphere
  • Shared experiences and meals
  • Space for quiet time

Come for the surfing, but expect the friendships and shared experiences to become an equally important part of the week.

Why Southwest France?

Soustons Plage, Pine Forest and Atlantic Surf

The retreat is based close to Soustons Plage, one of the best-known beach breaks on France's southwest Atlantic coast. Its long open beach and multiple peaks give the coaching team options when selecting the most suitable conditions for the group.

Away from the surf, the surrounding landscape is shaped by pine forest, dunes and the Courant d'Huchet river. This protected natural area is known for its freshwater lagoon, winding waterways and distinctive dune landscape.

Late September offers the chance to experience the region beyond the busiest summer period while still enjoying French surf culture, Atlantic energy and the relaxed rhythm of life around Soustons Plage

  • Surf sessions at or around Soustons Plage
  • Freshwater lagoon and Courant d'Huchet landscape
  • Pine forest and Atlantic dunes
  • Established French surf culture
  • Different surf options for different abilities
  • A relaxed coastal setting for an active women's retreat
